On Wednesday evening, April 20th, the Bluegrass Stars had a delicious catered Lasagna dinner, with salad and a sinfully good strawberry cheesecake at Fante’s Coffee House. We enjoyed having the entire House to ourselves, and the atmosphere, staff, and owners were as enjoyable as the company and the meal.
If you haven't visited Fante’s, you are really missing out! The Coffee is roasted daily, and served any way you might want. The cheddar cheese and chives, and the bacon and cheese biscuits I bought to bring home were so good they are worth a trip to Fante’s all by themselves! This was the first event for Section members, John and Suzanne Rice. We look forward to seeing them at more events this year.
We also had a 50/50 drawing, won by Tom and Betty Clark.
President, Gary Rumrill, talked about our upcoming events, and I think you will want to mark your calendars now!
May 28, 2022, the Stars will be in Glendale, Kentucky, for lunch at Tony York’s and shopping in town.
June 25, 2022, we will be in Etown for brunch/lunch at the Café at Swope Toyota, and then a guided tour of Swope's Cars of Yesteryear Museum!
