On a beautiful sunny day the SFBA-MB Club held the First Sunday Drive of May, which was supersubscribed with 40 vehicles and 40 attendees. Apparently everyone was eager to finally get out and about after our long rainy & chilly winter! Led by Nadine & Barton Lane, we met at the Bridgepointe Starbucks, and after kicking tires and socializing, headed off on Hwy 92 to Half Moon Bay. Going north on Hwy 1 we passed spectacular ocean scenery, saw dozens of surfers at Pillar Point, and after passing through the Devil's Slide Tunnels, paused for a break at the Pacifica Seabowl parking lot. Our next stop was the Beach Chalet on the Great Highway. We then meandered past the Cliff House and the Palace of the Legion of Honor and into the spectacular Seacliff neighborhood of San Francisco, and on to our final destination, the SF Presidio. The drive was much appreciated by all; the only bummer was the Colibri Cafe could not accommodate us, so the drive ended there with the attendees having to make their own luncheon plans.
